As a family-owned enterprise with over 40 years of experience in the processing of human proteins, Octapharma specialises in the therapeutic areas of haematology, immunotherapy and emergency medicine. We process components derived from human plasma into life-saving, life-prolonging and life-enhancing products. Since 2014, we have also been active in the field of recombinant therapies. Headquartered in Lachen, Switzerland, we are now among the world’s leading producers of human protein-based products and employ approximately 12,000 people worldwide.

Our five state-of-the-art production sites are located in Austria, France, Germany and Sweden. Octapharma Vienna is the oldest and largest site within the Octapharma Group, employing over 1,700 people from more than 50 different nations. At this location, we cover the entire value chain – from research and development through logistics and production to inspection, packaging, sales and support functions.
