The family-run company Octapharma was founded over 40 years ago with the aim of providing people with haemophilia access to safe and high-quality plasma-based treatments. Over the past decades, Octapharma has grown into a global company dedicated to the development and production of high-quality human proteins from human plasma and human cell lines. The focus is on three therapeutic areas: Immunotherapy, haematology and intensive care medicine.

With around 12,000 employees worldwide - including at seven research sites and five state-of-the-art production facilities - Octapharma currently supplies patients in 118 countries. The entire value chain is covered at the research and production site in Vienna: from production and quality assurance to sales and logistics worldwide. 1500 employees in Vienna make a significant contribution to Octapharma's mission.
